Hepatitis D

Definition:
Hepatitis D is transmitted through infected blood. This diseaseonly occur in people who have been infected with hepatitis Bbefore.

How the spread / infections:
The cause of this disease is the use of unsterile needles or had been in use for other people, people with hepatitis b couples are also at risk if the act of intercourse / sex with the opposite sex whohad been infected with hepatitis D.

There is no vaccine for hepatitis D, but by getting vaccinated with hepatitis B then automatically you will be protected from this virusbecause HDV can not live without HBV.

People affected by hepatitis B and hepatitis D may experience a serious acute illness and a higher risk of acute liver failure. Peopleaffected by hepatitis D superinfection usually develop chronichepatitis D infection most likely (70% d-80%) to cirrhosis. There is no vaccine hepatitis D, but by getting the vaccination with hepatitisB then automatically you will be protected from this virus becauseHDV can not live without HBV.
